They offer very clear tiers and very clear perks. You can easily go from Choice to Prime and get 2 years worth of free cruises with a very minimal investment.
Their first Comped tier is called Prime and starts at just over 2500 points. The nice thing with Club Royale is that you do not have to attain this level in 1 cruise (although this is the best way to get free cruises fast). Even if you do not make the Prime tier in your first cruise you can easily add up the points between cruises.
Carnival

Carnival gives you 1 point per $2.50 cycled into a slot machine. You then accumulate points per cruises and depending on your play level and points achieved per cruise you then receive Comps and Free Cruise offers.
